It’s been a rough go for the citizens of Alexandria. Ever since they came across that lunatic with the barbed wire-covered baseball bat, their idyllic post-apocalyptic community has been ravaged, looted, and now bombed to high hell. The survivors are currently hiding in a sewer as they wait for the latest assault by Negan and the Saviors to cease.
There is a lot going on as The Walking Dead gets ready to return to action with the second half of season 8 premiering Feb. 25 on AMC. Alexandria and the Kingdom have fallen. Ezekiel has been captured. Carl has been bitten by a walker and appears to be in his final hours. So, you know, things have been better.
We’ve got new pics of Rick, Carl, Michonne, Maggie, Daryl and more from the back half of season 8.

The Walking Dead concluded its midseason finale with the show’s biggest shocker yet. As if the Saviors escaping, the Kingdom getting wiped out, and Alexandria being blown up wasn’t bad enough, it was revealed in the episode’s final moments that Carl had been bitten by a zombie, signaling his imminent death and actor Chandler Riggs’ departure from the show.

We’ve got new pics of Rick, Daryl, and more. Plus: Two disgusting new zombies!
Andrew Lincoln as Rick
Rick is a man on a mission in season 8, and that mission is to free Alexandria — and the Hilltop and the Kingdom — from the clutches of Negan.
First up, it’s Norman Reedus once again perched on his motorcycle as Daryl Dixon. Daryl had a bit of a rough go of it last season (which is putting it mildly). But here, he’s got himself a motorcycle and a crossbow, so how bad can things really be?! I suppose that depends on how things go in the all-out war against Negan and the Saviors.
