Norman Reedus, an American actor, was born on January 6, 1969 in Hollywood, Florida and months later he moved to Los Angeles, California.
He also spent some time living in Japan, England and Spain.
When he first came to Los Angeles, he worked at a Harley Davidson shop in Venice and at the same time contributed artwork to various shows as a painter, photographer, sculptor, and video artist.
He got his first taste of acting in the play “Maps for Drowners” at the Tiffany Theater on Sunset Boulevard. Days later, he was cast in Mimic (1997), then in Six Ways to Sunday (1997), and Floating (1999). He then on to do many other films including The Boondock Saints (1999), Deuces Wild (2002), Blade II (2002), Let the Devil Wear Black (1999), Gossip (2000/I), Moscow Chill (2007), The Notorious Bettie Page (2005), and many others.
He has also directed three short film, The Rub, I tought of you and A filthy little frutta, and several videos.
In 2005, Reedus was in a car accident. He had to have surgery and his left eye has a metal eye socket.
Reedus currently lives in New York with her son Mingus Lucien Reedus, had with his ex-girlfriend, fashion model Helena Christensen.
As of 2010 he stars as Daryl Dixon in the AMC television series The Walking Dead. The character was not originally in the comic book series of the same name, but was created specifically for Reedus. He also starred in several tv series, as Charmed and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
